A guy I know (worked at CBOE) just got hit and pretty mangled (collar bone + shoulder wrecked and ran over by Range Rover) on his way home tonight. A woman (mom on cell phone with two kids in the back) was driving a range rover and blew a red light - hit him and then ran his shoulder over. He was on a Ducati Monster (:drool) and didn't have a chance.

Sorry to hear about your friend Winston, thats pretty grim and enraging at the same time. I ride a motorcycle myself and know first hand the complete idiocy of many drivers. Blowing a red is pretty hard to defend against - intersections are a riders nightmare - gave up riding in cities long ago - Heres hoping your friend recovers quickly.
