Netflix Gives Wall Street a Happy Ending For The End of 2011

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) reported Q4 revenue and profit after the closing bell today well ahead of analysts’ expectations,

Revenue for last fiscal quarter ending in December increased to $876 million, providing an EPS of $0.73.

Analysts mean estimates called for $857.4 million revenue and $0.54 EPS.

Netflix ended the quarter gaining about 220,000 subscribers to reach 21.67 million streaming subscribers.

For the current fiscal quarter, Netflix estimates revenue from $842 million to $877 million, ahead of the $846 million average analysts estimate, and a net loss per share of $0.16 - $0.49 , lower than the analyst consensus of $0.29 loss

Netflix shares are up in after hours trading.
